Welcome to Hollywood

Well life has been more than a little busy lately!! Between coming home, spending as much time with family and friends as possible, Easter, moving to the Queensland countryside, setting up our new home, getting back into our work routines and starting our wedding preparations, Ty and I haven’t had time for much else! But I love being busy and am absolutely loving settling into this new chapter in our lives. With that said, I’ve finally gotten around to sharing the very last of our North American adventures…our time in the City of Angels.

Hollywood is one of those places I have always wanted to
visit. I love film and television and as a young girl growing up I was always intrigued by the celebrity world that seems so apparent in LA. So Hollywood was a highly anticipated destination on our
USA holiday for me.

Welcome to Hollywood!
However, I have to be perfectly honest, Hollywood and LA in
general was a bit of a let down. I don’t mean to be negative but we felt generally disappointed in what we found in Hollywood and LA and I guess that’s in comparison to some of the truly fabulous places we were lucky enough to visit over our 6 month road trip. Never to be ones to give up without a fight, Ty and I made sure to make the very most of our four days in LA,
from exploring Hollywood to visiting Santa Monica and Venice Beach.
Bright and early one morning, we set out to visit the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We ventured a little off course (read: got lost!) and literally stumbled upon a little Saturday market. On the weekends, I love
getting to the markets as often as possible and Ty and I had a great time strolling around
the stalls and wishing we could buy some beautifully fresh produce for some
homemade cooking!

The farmer’s market we stumbled upon had the most deliciously fresh home grown produce!

The flowers were quite lovely too!

After that little interlude, we made our way to Hollywood
Boulevard to see the Hollywood Walk of Fame, take a few pictures of
some of our favourite ‘stars’ and admire the plethora of famous theaters lining
the strip.

And that was enough of Hollywood for us! Luckily, we enjoyed our
long day out in Santa Monica and Venice Beach immensely and I can’t wait to share
some stories and pictures of our day there soon.

Have you ever been to Hollywood? What did you think of it? Have you been anywhere that just didn’t interest you all that much?
As always, thank you so much for reading xo
