Firstly, can we just talk about that watermelon bike?? We spotted it in Florence and even though I’m pretty sure those wheels aren’t real, it’s too cute to care. I neeeed it in my life. Can’t you just imagine all the fun cruisin’ you could do on that beauty during the summertime? Immediately adding it to my Christmas wishlist! (I’m getting eye rolls as I even type that…so I guess that’s a no then?).
In other news, we’ve been binge-watching Orange Is The New Black for weeks now and are finally up to Season 3…only thing is, we aren’t sure about it. I’m about one episode away from deciding I’m over it, but I hate to leave a season unfinished so I’m thinking maybe I’ll just persist. Has anyone watched season 3? Does it get any better??
After spending the weekend at my parents’, it was so lovely to have Ty’s Mum and Dad visit us on Monday afternoon and we spent the evening playing card games, catching up and eating good food. I love being surrounded by family – it’s the best! There were lots of great things that happened this week, but here are five of my favourite little moments:
1// Trying a new dance class! This week I went along to my first dance class in years – and it was so much fun! I’m pretty sure I spent most of the class either laughing or with a ridiculously huge smile on my face, and by the end of it, I was basically Beyonce. Definitely going to have to make this a weekly thing!
2// Finding the faux fur vest of my wardrobe dreams. I know it’s completely out of season for us here in Australia, but I snagged a blush faux fur vest from the Lily Loves range at Target ON SALE on Sunday! All last winter I looked for a faux fur vest but never managed to find the right one so I was thrilled to find one lonesome vest hanging on the sale rack. Consider me ready for next winter 😉
3// Flowers, everywhere! Spring is such a beautiful time of year, and I was reminded of that when I was rushing to work on Tuesday and noticed for the first time how many flowers have bloomed all around our little town. It instantly improved my mood and was a timely reminder to take more time to stop and smell the roses (literally).
4// Making Christmas plans. Can you believe it’s a little over a month until Christmas? The speed with which this year has passed completely blows my mind, but I’m so excited for Christmas to come. Aside from our Christmas in Banff, Canada a few years ago, this will be the first Christmas Ty and I will spend together (and as a married couple!) and we’ve made plans to share it between both our families.
5// Feeling inspired. Inspiration tends to come in waves for me, but something about about the approach of Christmas makes me feel even more inspired than usual. I’m trying to write down all my ideas before I forget them, but they always come at the most inopportune time – like when I’m driving to and from work, mostly!
This weekend we are staying home and have plans to have a lunch and movie date on Saturday after work. I’m so excited! I love any excuse to dress up and hang out with my guy, so I’ll be rummaging through my closet this afternoon and annoying Ty with my incessant chatter about how excited I am.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and thanks so much for reading! XO
