Over the weekend, we celebrated my brother-in-law (Ty’s brother) and his fiancée Lauren’s engagement at their new house in Warwick. Warwick is a few hours south of us so I spent Saturday morning finishing the packing for our overnight camping trip, and as soon as Ty finished work at midday, we jumped in the car and headed off on our mini road trip.
The Spring to Summer transition is in full swing here in Australia and the temperature soared to the high 30’s on Saturday. When it comes to dressing in this heat, you can’t go wrong with a playsuit (in my book) and it was love at first sight when I first met this little number at a Charity Store on the Gold Coast earlier this year. While it’s a bit shorter in length than I usually opt for, I just love the wrap front and the daisy print so went for it anyway. With this weekend’s heat wave, it was the perfect casual party piece that saw me through an afternoon of drinks, an evening BBQ and dancing into the night (and early morning…).
I kept everything else simple with some of my favourite neutral accessories. Sandals in Summer just make sense and a cross body bag is one of those bags a girl cannot do without in my opinion. It’s a total must-have! I let my hair air-dry – it was a touch out of control, but when it’s too hot to blowdry you’ve got to admit defeat and just go with it!
Sadly this floral number is no longer available, but I’ve linked four other playful playsuits that I absolutely adore (and may be adding to my Christmas wishlist because a girl always needs another) below, in case you are in the market for one!
Would you guys wear a playsuit (or jumpsuit/romper – they’re all the same thing, right?)? I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, and thank you so much for reading! XO
