Let Us Wanderlust Site Redesign!

Screenshot of new blog design with image and post slider

I’m so excited to announce the new version of Let Us Wanderlust! It’s been quite a long time coming but I hope you’ll find that it’s much more organised, more visually appealing, easier to navigate and provides a much improved mobile experience.

Not too much has changed in the way of aesthetics, but functionally, it’s a whole new ball game! Below I’m highlighting some of my favourite features so you all feel at home here right away.

The main site navigation has been reorganised into three main categories and dropdown subcategories, making for easier browsing through Let Us Wanderlust’s main topic areas. The navigation bar is also persistent, so even while scrolling, it remains fixed at the top so you can easily access content and navigate around the site from anywhere at anytime.

Blog redesign list layout with continue reading link

The most recent post will be shown in full length, as it always has been, but the previous posts will now be shown in a shortened list view. This makes it much easier to catch up on posts you’ve missed or find ones you connect most with, and provides for much better mobile viewing. Click either the title or the Continue Reading link to see each post in full. From there, you can click through to previous or newer posts by clicking the link at the bottom of each post, or you can make my day and leave me a comment – I always love hearing from you!

The search box can now be found in the top righthand corner of the site. Search has been improved to display all content related to your search term in a grid format so it’s easy to find exactly what you are looking for. My social media icons have been grouped together in the site’s top lefthand corner so it’s easy for us to stay connected on or off the site.

And lastly, one of my favourite visual elements is the image and post slider in the top section of the site. This will automatically rotate through the most recent posts from a chosen category, so you can click either the title or the Continue Reading button to see the post in its entirety.

And that’s about it! I hope you enjoy the new site and thanks again for all your support. Of course, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the redesign so let me know what you think in the comments below. X
