Back when I was a little girl, I became enamored with the idea of keeping a diary. For my birthday one year, Mum bought me a beautiful diary, complete with a little gold lock and a set of tiny gold keys, and I managed to keep up with writing about my life for approximately one week.
I’m not sure whatever became of that diary (I’m sure it’s still in among the things I left behind long ago at my parent’s house) but when I got to school, and then later when I was at university, my obsession with stationery took on new life. Nothing pleased me more than shopping for new stationery – particularly new notebooks – at the beginning of each school year.
Nowadays, I no longer go to school and there’s no stationery purchases to look forward to at the beginning of the school year, but luckily for me my notebook obsession has continued on. Whether it’s to work, to the shops or on the weekends, I always have a little notebook with me so I can jot down ideas as they come and inspiration as it strikes. To me there’s nothing that quite takes the place of putting an actual pen to actual paper when it comes to harnessing creativity, thoughts and ideas.
Today I’m sharing a peak at some of my favourite handmade notebooks from Victoria Snape Pretty Paper Goods and a GIVEAWAY with you all! I absolutely adore Victoria’s handcrafted and illustrated designs, which are influenced by her love for vintage treasures, countryside walks, pretty florals and surrounding nature. Her lovely notebooks are all hand bound and feature her beautiful original watercolour patterns. At approximately an A6 size, the notebooks are perfect for stashing in your bag or at your desk to print your notes, thoughts and lists in.
I’m thrilled to team up with Victoria Snape Pretty Paper Goods (check out the Etsy shop here!) today to offer a beautiful hand bound, original watercolour notebook to one of you!
